A Few More Observations…

Five is a new record today – Mom, Dad, and three children on one scooter!

Savory Snacks in India – nuts, chips, etc.  When you need a small boost, these 10 cent bags are perfect. And there are many varieties to choose from.  Universally good, so far!

Not only are lanes optional in India, direction of travel seems to be a drivers’ choice, as well!

I said previously that the cattle were predominantly brahma. Of course, since making that observation, the brahma have all but disappeared.  Now it’s just what I would call, “regular cows.”  Mostly no more humps.  So…just know that there are a lot of cows, and calves, heffers, steers, and an occasional bull — and they wander ANYEHERE they want.

Trash and disrepair are constants in India.

Near 100% helmet use in Delhi, but only about 20% elsewhere, and often far less.

Indian restaurants don’t advertise meat dishes and vegetarian dishes, their menus list “Veg and non veg” dishes.

A 90-minute massage in Jaipur cost 5,000 rupees, including pickup and return to the hotel.  Only about $50!

In Hindu culture, your God is first  in importance, then teachers (guru), then your parents.  Ruby, our tour guide, has taught us so much about India, so now she is Guru Ruby (or Guruby) and of very high importance in our lives!

A short & witty ending…

I tried to catch some fog today… I mist.
